In every home nearly every  appliance and device is required to either have a constant supply of electricity to run, or has batteries that need to be charged with electricity in order to run. Some devices and appliances also run with a combination of direct electrical power and battery power.  The same is true of commercial properties as well.

It is important that the electrical system devices and appliances are connected to is providing the right, safe voltage for an appliance or device. If the voltage is too high the circuit can become overloaded which can lead to a fire and damage the device; if the voltage is too low some devices won't run at all. 


Williamstown Electric is experienced in connecting devices to the electrical system optimally to maximize their lifespans and performance.  Devices and appliances and the connections for them that we commonly install include refrigerators, fans, garbage disposals, washers and dryers, furnaces, air conditioner compressors, water pumps, ejector pumps, bathroom exhaust fans, kitchen exhaust fans,  smoke detectors, carbon detectors, heat detectors and generators.

Appliances like air conditioner compressors, refrigerators, some washers, dryers, furnaces, hot water heaters and many generators require a dedicated circuit and single item outlet to operate safely and optimally. We are knowledgeable about which devices require what kind of connection.  Air compressor connections need to be regularly checked to make sure they are tight and that wires are corroded or worn. ​
